Hello, vidding person! This is my first Festivids, and I'm so excited about it! My overall attitude toward music is that it should fit the mood of the source, whether it's instrumental or has vocals. I'm okay with voice clips as long as there are only a couple, and they don't talk over lyrics.

1. 12 Monkeys

I love the visuals in this movie. The weird, vaguely futuristic look of the "present," and the Dutch angles that make everything feel so off-kilter. Within the story, I love Cole's combination of anger and vulnerability, his joy at being in the past and his desperation to avoid the apocalypse. Anything highlighting that would be awesome. I love every part of this movie, though, so pretty much whatever speaks to you, I'll be very happy with.

2. Ben Hur

This movie is as gay as a mainstream 1950s movie could be. Messala practically humps Judah, and there's all the galley-rowing with sweaty, almost-naked men. And the eyefucking! So much eyefucking! I'd love a lovers-to-enemies vid, or just something that shows all the GAY GAY GAY.

3. Deadwood

SWEDGIN! Al Swearengen is the best character in this show, and I would love something showcasing him. With this, you might want to do more voice clips, because half the attraction is his dialogue. This is my favorite Ian McShane role ever.

4. How I Live Now

This movie is gorgeously shot. My favorite thing about it is the colors, especially the contrast between the saturated pre-war setting and the washed-out visuals after the nuke. Post-apocalypse is one of my favorite subgenres, and this is a unique take on it.

5. Singin' in the Rain

My favorite old movie! I'm into historical fashion, so something showing all the awesome clothes would be great. But this movie is so wonderful, really anything will be fantastic. (But not Uptown Funk. After that amazing vid with all the old-movie dancing, I can't see anything else set to Uptown Funk.)

6. Willow

This movie was an adolescent awakening for me. Val Kilmer, shirtless throughout a good share of the movie, is a scoundrel in the mold of Han Solo. He's so fucking charming! His hair made me lust after any guy with shoulder-length or longer hair. And he's caged, tied up, punched, kicked, and chained. YES PLEASE. Give me all the Madmartigan and I will love you forever.

7. Avengers Academy

Bucky's an emo musician whose memory is shot, but he knows Captain America is wonderful. Please show me Bucky being sad and confused and inexplicably drawn to Steve. I love them together, whether as a couple or best friends. I'm cool with art that isn't from the game, as long as it's clearly referencing the game. See this or this. (Natasha in the stealth cardboard box is never not awesome btw.)

I hope this is helpful! I can't wait to see what you do!
